Film director research : David Slade
Davis slade is known for his directing of dark films, he has directed hard candy, 30 days of night & the twilight saga eclipse one of his most famous films. He also has directed music videos for the steriophonics, muse and many more. The films i know of him directing are the vampires films 30 days of night and eclipse.David was born in 1969 in the UK but has gone on to direct american films and some worldwide phenominan films. Davids first film was hard candy, i have never seen this film but here is the trailer.
Davids second film was 30 says of night. I have seen this film and it is very dark and gloomy, but it is like this becasue it is a vampire film but this film is also very gory and there are a lot of blood and guts involved in this vampire film. Although i did like it but it is a bit to dark for what i like but it did interest me and make me jump and suprisingly i also cried.
His third film is the film that i know him best for due to that this is one of my all time favourite films. The twilight saga eclipse, i would say this is probably one of his most famous films he has directed due to that it is a saga and there are zillions of screaming girls worldwide that love this film, he has become globally known for directiing this film and i think he could have a good career ahead of him if he continues to direct films with vampires or wherewolves in due to that they have become very popular after the first twilight film.
All of David Slades movies are very dark from what i have seen of them, this is why they hired him to direct the Twilight Saga Eclipse because they wanted a 'Dark Director'. I think his influences may be his love for vampires & darkness, his film Hard Candy is about a young girl who meets a photographer online, she suspects he is a paedophile and trys to expose him. This is obviously a very dark and disturbing storyline but it probably helped a lot of people realise that there are dangerous people out there like this, and thats what i think he was trying to put across to people.
The Twilight Saga Eclipse is also a very big film, vampire films have never been as popular as they are now. One of the popular vampire films i watched and one of the first vampire films i have watched was 'Lost Boys'. I think that film had to influence David Slade in some way to make him want to direct Eclipse. As Eclipse is the darkest film out of the whole saga i think he fitted perfectly into the part of the director. I think the lost boys probably influenced David Slade because it was more his era of time when it was released.

Kick-Ass comic/movie
Kick ass is one one of my favcourite films i have watched that has been made from a comic that was released back in 2008. I think the influences that were involved in this comic is that there are a lot of young teenagers that would love to be a superhero and this comic film meets all of the teengers imaginations and fantasys.

Who invented Photography and when?
There was no single ‘inventor’ of photography. It evolved through the combined work of of many people of many different nationalities.
One Frenchman, Joseph Nicephore Niepce (1765-1833), often gets the credit, however, since he was the first to obtain a picture ‘from nature’ with a camera, in the modern photographic sense. He was also the first to ‘fix’ a picture, so that it did not immediately deteriorate, though the result was still not as permanent as with a present-day ‘fixer’. A Plaque near the estate where Niepce used to live reads. “Dans ce village Nicephore Niepce invents la Photographie en1822”. Experts, having examined the metal plate used in this first Photograph, think 1826 is probably more accurate.
It was in 1839, when the painter Jacques Daguerre’s process was made public, that the subject of photography became known. Daguerre had modified Niepce’s work to produce his daguerreotype. It was recorded that “opticians’ shops were crowded with amateurs panting for daguerreotype apparatus, and everyone wanted to record the view from his window”.

TV series reveiw
i am reveiwing the tv series misfits, the director of misfits is called Tom Green i have never heard of him before but he seems to have done a good job with everything. The storyline to misfits i basically their is a storm and the 'asbo 5' as me and my friends like to call them get struck by lightning and find out they have super powers, some people have said that it is like a mix between skins and heroes but i don't really think that really i think it is a little bit like skins bit misfits in my eyes is ten times better. I think the weaknesses are that in every episode they have an annoying charactor that you instantly dislike from the beggining as basically the misfits fans have grown to love the misfits charactor's. But on the strengths it is also good because it gets you more into the series if you think they are going to get hurt so you always want to know what happens i would say it was gripping. The charactors are very likeable to Kelly is likable as she is funny and won't take any shit from anybody her old power is to read minds, Kurtis is likable due to you feel sorry for him as he lost the chance to go to the olympics due having drugs found when he was with his ex grifriend but the word he always uses is 'prick' which makes me giggle everytime he says it his power is to turn back time. Alecia is likeable becasue you also feel sorry for her due to her power was horrible due she couldn't touch her ex boyfriend kurtis as her old power is that if she touches somebody they instantly want to have sez with her which has stopped her from being able to kiss or hug her partner, simon is likeable because he is the shyest and most friendly of the group his power was invicibliity, and finally nathan i have to say i love all of the charactors but nathan is by far my favourite charactor as he is hilarious and he says the funniest random things that you could think of his old power was immortality which is a good one as he has died about fifty time in two series.
Overall i love misfits and i would reccommend everyone who hasn't seen to GO and watch it.
